Discover Dhermi
Europe's Last Great Discovery
Ancient Ottoman towns, alpine landscapes and Mediterranean coastlines — all within a few hours of each other.
What kind of city survives 2,400 years without losing its character?
Dhërmi is one of the oldest continuously inhabited villages on the Albanian Riviera, combining a historic hilltop settlement with one of the country’s most beautiful coastlines.
A destination where mountains meet the Ionian Sea
Dhërmi clings to the steep limestone terraces of the Ceraunian Mountains, tumbling into the azure Ionian Sea. Winding cobblestone alleys lead past Byzantine churches, bougainvillea-covered stone villas, and family-run tavernas serving freshly caught seafood.
Below the ancient village lie white pebble coves, secluded sea caves, and pristine Mediterranean waters that offer tranquil seclusion and timeless coastal beauty.

Before you travel

Berat sits 122 km south of Tirana's Nënë Tereza International Airport (TIA). The drive takes 1 hour 30 minutes via the SH72. Furgon minibuses depart Tirana's Kombinat bus terminal from 06:00, running every 30–60 minutes until mid-afternoon (approx. 600 ALL, 2 hours). We recommend arriving by car or private transfer for maximum flexibility around the city's hillside quarters.
